HR 465

HR 465 (HD 9996, GY Andromedae) ist ein veränderlicher Stern im Sternbild Andromeda, dessen Helligkeit zwischen 6,27 mag und 6,41 mag schwankt. Seine Entfernung beträgt ca. 161 pc. Dies entspricht ca. 524 Lj[1]. Er gehört zur Gruppe der CP-Sterne. Der Namensteil „GY“ folgt den Regeln zur Benennung veränderlicher Sterne und besagt, dass GY Andromedae der 207te veränderliche Stern ist, der im Sternbild Andromeda entdeckt wurde.

Sein auffälligstes Charakteristikum ist, dass in seinem Spektrum mit hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit das chemische Element Promethium gefunden wurde.[2][3][4][5][6][7][8]
